The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and several state DOTs have worked
very hard to establish the credibility of HPC for bridges over the past few
years. Much of that effort has been directed toward high-strength concrete
for the reasons shown on this slide.
Example bridges illustrating these advantages are presented later in this
section.
