Data from one test of the chemical resistance of silica-fume concrete is shown in this chart. The other concretes tested were latex-modified concrete and low- water (dense) concrete.

The latex-modified concrete had a latex solids content of 16% and a w/cm of 0.35. The silica-fume concrete had a silica fume content of 15% and a w/cm of 0.33. The dense concrete had a w/cm of 0.33.

Note that all of the concretes vary in their resistance to specific chemicals. In general, the use of silica fume will extend the time to failure, but will not prevent chemical attack.
